Horopito Motors is a (very) large car junk yard near Ohakune in the central North Island. It has the most amazing collection of old, and not so old, vehicles in various stages of (dis)repair… They have parts for just about any old car. Just posted under ‘Recent Images’ are a few photographs taken there last week. This is a place where a photographer can wander around for hours capturing the variety of rusting metal shapes, stacked one on another or sitting under trees or getting overgrown with foxgloves. Some of these vehicles are classics, like the Thames Trader captured with a slight ‘HDR’ look.
