A Photographic Journey Through Northland

Northland is a part of New Zealand often overlooked from a tourist or photographic perspective.  But I can tell you there are many beautiful places waiting to be found – see Recent Images.  From the huge Te Paki sand dunes to the mangroves around Opua, Waitangi, Rawene or Kohukohu; and the beauty of the Waipoua Forest south of the Hokianga or the Pukenui Falls in A H Reed Memorial Park in Whangarei.  Indeed, Whangarei itself has many bush walks as well as the beautiful beaches down toward Bream Head (eg Smugglers Bay, Ocean Beach).  As a photographer I have spend a lot of time in the South Island, especially around Central Otago and the West Coast – and I must admit I was a little surprised by the range of beautiful landscapes and interesting towns up north.  Have a look through my Recent Images Gallery.
